Llanybydder is a small town located in the county of Carmarthenshire in western Wales, approximately 5 miles northeast of the town of Lampeter. Its population, according to the 2011 Census, is 1,353. The town is part of the Teifi Valley and gets its name from the Welsh words llan, meaning church, and byddir, meaning dwelling. Llanybydder has a rich history, the town having developed around a Benedictine monastery in the late 10th century and becoming an important agricultural centre in the 19th century.
